Red Star Express Restates Education Strategy, Awards Scholarships

Red Star Express Plc has restated the strategic importance of primary and grassroots education as a catalyst for overall economic growth and long term improvement of life.

The Managing Director of Red Star Express, Mr. Sule Bichi made the comment at the scholarship Awards presentation ceremony at Unity Grammar School and Mafoluku Grammar School, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Lagos.

It was an emotional event as beneficiaries of the annual Red Star Foundation scholarship and parents rose in unison to express their profound gratitude to the management of Red Star Express Plc, the company responsible for the scholarship of some students in public schools in Lagos.

Speaking on behalf of other recipients at the 2015 edition of the award of scholarship, Master Adebayo Mark, an SS1 student of Unity Grammar School, Oshodi commended the company for its commitment to the scholarship programme which, in no small amount, has eased some of the burden shouldered by their parents, especially regarding their educational needs.

Bichi explained that the purpose of the scholarship was to encourage young and brilliant Nigerian students to aim for excellence.
