NGX Hails AIHN on 30th Anniversary, Seeks Partnership to Drive Capital Market Growth

GOODWILL MESSAGE BY ALHAJI (DR.) UMARU KWAIRANGA, GROUP CHAIRMAN, NIGERIAN EXCHANGE GROUP, AT THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ASSOCIATION OF ISSUING HOUSES OF NIGERIA IN LAGOS.

I am delighted to be here at the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria 30th Anniversary Awards Night and Dinner.

Let me begin by congratulating the Association on thirty years of existence as an Association.

I can confidently say that those years have also witnessed the mobilisation of the greatest amount of funds in this nation’s history for the Federal Government, sub-nationals and corporate bodies.

Members of this Association have led the capital raising exercises that recapitalised the banks and the insurance companies and that have enabled governments at various levels meet their governance and development objectives.

On a regular basis, you raise funds that keep companies and the economy running and your impact can not be underestimated.

As an organisation, the Nigerian Exchange Group recognises the important role that the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria plays in the capital market and its positive impact on our Exchange and we are always open to partnering with you in the development of the capital market

This apart from being an evening to relax a little and enjoy the company of your peers, is also an occasion to recognise those who have stood out among members and persons and bodies that have made outstanding contributions to the Association and the sector.

I congratulate all those who are being recognised today and urge them to do even more in the years ahead.

Once again, congratulations and do enjoy the evening.

Thank you.

Alhaji (Dr) Umaru Kwairanga

Chairman
