NGX Chair: Nigeria, USA Have Opportunity of Partnership on Security, Investment, Sports

I am delighted to participate in this convivial breakfast meeting of the US-Nigeria Council.

The USA and Nigeria are similar in certain ways such as their population size, the innovation and drive of that population and the way both countries dominate their spheres of influence-the world and the African continent.

I believe both can also learn from and complement each other in areas such as security, investment, and sports which my brother, Shehu Dikko is an expert in. These are areas that are the focus of US-Nigeria Council and I believe that today’s forum will deepen cooperation between our two countries in areas such as trade and investment, food security and sports.

On our part as the Nigerian Exchange Group, we are focused on all initiatives that will deepen investment in Nigeria and impact positively on our quoted companies. We therefore look forward to making useful contacts and fostering enduring linkages between the American and Nigerian private sectors at this occasion.

Once again, thank you for the opportunity and I wish us all very rewarding interactions.

Alhaji (Dr) Umaru Kwairanga

Chairman, NGX Group
