Nigerian-Born Founder Unveils WillsRecord from Silicon Valley to Build World’s First AI Music Economy Ecosystem

A new platform brings AI music creation, streaming, distribution and earning together in one place, for creators and listeners alike

Nigerian-born technology entrepreneur, Festus Atu Otabor has announced the launch of WillsRecord, an AI-powered platform where anyone can create, stream, discover, distribute, monetize and earn from music within a single ecosystem.

The company describes it as the world’s first AI Music Economy Ecosystem. WillsRecord is legally established in both the United States and Nigeria. It operates from Silicon Valley, the world’s best-known technology hub, while keeping its roots in Nigeria and Africa’s fastgrowing creative and technology community.

“Africa has given the world some of its most loved music. I want Africa to also help build the technology and the economy behind it,” said Otabor, Founder and CEO of WillsRecord Inc. “WillsRecord is designed so that a songwriter in Lagos, a student in Abuja or a producer in Nairobi can take an idea to a finished, distributed and earning song, all in one place.”

More than an AI music generator Most existing platforms cover one part of the music journey: some generate songs, others stream, distribute or pay creators.

WillsRecord was built on a different question: what if every stage existed within one intelligent ecosystem?

The platform integrates:

  • AI lyrics writing and AI song creation
  • AI voice cloning and AI beat modelling
  • AI mixing and mastering, and track separation technology
  • Video synchronisation and a digital song vault
  • Global distribution and creator monetisation
  • Enterprise APIs and the WillsCoin rewards ecosystem

This lets creators move from inspiration to income without juggling several disconnected services. An entirely new category Industry observers note that no single global platform yet combines AI music creation, streaming, discovery, distribution, monetization and rewards for both creators and listeners. Technology and media giants are investing heavily in AI-powered music, but the full creator-economy stack remains largely ununified.

WillsRecord is positioning itself in that gap as a new category: the AI Music Economy Ecosystem. Empowering creators everywhere for generations, aspiring musicians have faced barriers of cost, access, production resources and industry gatekeeping.

WillsRecord aims to open sophisticated music creation tools, once largely limited to major studios and labels, to artists in Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, New York and beyond. Its mission is simple: to enable anyone, anywhere, to turn an idea into a professionally produced and monetised music asset.

A platform where listeners can earn too Unlike traditional streaming services that mainly reward creators, WillsRecord is designed to let listeners earn rewards through streaming, engagement, sharing, supporting creators and helping the community grow, turning music from one-way consumption into a shared economy.

A vision for Africa and the world “Africa is no longer simply consuming innovation; it is creating it,” Otabor said. WillsRecord envisions a future in which the continent contributes not only music talent to the world but also the platforms and economic infrastructure that power the global creative economy.

An invitation to the media WillsRecord invites newspapers, television and radio networks, technology and business publications, entertainment media, digital publishers and creators to report on, discuss and share this story. It is a story about innovation, entrepreneurship and Africa’s growing role in shaping the future of music and artificial intelligence.
